 Senior shortstop Hopie Perez scored the only run of the game off Mallory Wakefield's triple in the second inning to give the Lady Roos a 1-0 win over Flower Mound Friday in the Region I Semi-Finals.
Freshman pitcher Jordan Wallace struck out six Lady Jags in the contest.
Weatherford's Lady Roos advance to the Region I finals where they will play the winner of the Odessa vs. Coppel series. Stay tuned to this website for the most up-to-date details (file photo).

Although junior first baseman Megan Askew was tagged out at home plate during the bottom of the first inning, it served as a confidence booster for the team as Weatherford went on to blank the Flower Mound Lady Jaguars, 2-0, in Game 1 of a best-of-three series Thursday in Weatherford.
