WHS Health Occupation students training in High Schools

Weatherford High School seniors Dillon Knighton (left) and Wes Stanley have big plans for their future.  They are training for their emergency medical tech license while going to school full time.

Knighton and Stanley are also enrolled in Weatherford’s Career and Technologies Health Science class, which offers several training opportunities for students to train in a specific career path. They will be able to find employment in the medical field when they graduate from high school.

Also, both students will pursue further education with Weatherford College in the paramedic program.

“It is amazing that we have EMT-B’s walking around our school during the day," Weatherford High School HST instructor Patricia Hoffman said. "Their training is intensive, plus these boys work outside of school while also carrying a full load at school. They are model students, and real-life heroes in life and death medical situations. I could not be more proud of the two of them."
